16:00 Kilmarnock – Motherwell 3+ (Over 2,5) (2,10)

After two consecutive victories in previous rounds, away from home against St Johnstone 1:2 and impressive performance at home in a 5:1 victory over Partick last weekend, players of Kilmarnock didn’t manage to get a three pointer last Tuesday evening in a 2:2 draw away from home against Ross County.
The game itself was very interesting and quite an open one, but with two completely different halftimes. Players of Ross County were much better in the first halftime and took the double lead via Routis in 31st and Naismith in 41st minute, while the visitors replied with way better fighting spirit in the repetition.
They firstly reduced the deficit in 61st minute via Brophy, but also leveled up the result via Boyd in 86th minute and if there was more time left, they would probably be favorites to get all three points. The side now stands undefeated in last three, having nineteen points earned, which is four less than play-off placed Motherwell.
Hosts should miss defender Gordon Greer (18/1) here as he isn’t expected to recover on time. Same should be said for center back Stuart Findlay (15/1), while forward Greg Kiltie (no performance so far anyway) has some chances to play here. Injured and out for sure remain defensive midfielder Iain Wilson (6/0) and left back Steven Smith (3/0).
Motherwell comes from yet another defeat previous Wednesday evening as the side visited Partick but stood defeated with a 3:2 result in the end. They simply paid the price of entering the match too slowly, since the home team had three goals lead even before the thirty minute of play.
They managed to score three goals within twelve minutes from 16th to 28th minute, via Spittal, Edwards and Sammon, while the visiting side actually looked much better and simply superior in the second halftime and were overall closer to get something more, but in the end only managed to reduce the deficit via Bowman and Tanner.
The side is now at sixth position, having just two points more than play-out placd St Johnston and a positive result would benefit them here from more than one aspect as the side remains without a victory in last four and would surely benefit from any kind of morale boost.
Forward Elliott Frear is doubtful due his lack of fitness, while Louis Moult won’t play here anyway. Injured and out also remain Trevor Carson, Chris Cadden, Peter Hartley, Alex Fisher and Ellis Plummer due injuries.
Kilmarnock didn’t win last four matches against Motherwell at home.
Kilmarnock is probably a slight favorite in this one, but the side will miss most likely two important defenders, while their performances in the last defensive lineup aren’t anyway to be proud of. Motherwell isn’t something special at the moment, but having very little to lose in this one – they can be more than threatening side.
Visitors are far away from their good form, but remain very threatening side that plays quite openly. It’s something that promises more than just a couple of goals scored in this one.

18:30 Monchenglodbach – Hamburg 1 (1,80) WIN

Gladbach didn’t look that bad last time, but failed to be more concrete in their offensive efforts as the side suffered 1:0 defeat away to Freiburg on Tuesday evening in previous round of Bundesliga.
They conceded a goal from the penalty kick back in 24th minute taken by Petersen, remaining with more of the ball possession, while it must be said that such game development suited more to the home side that remained being threatening in attack, while the players of Gladbch had very little thing done in offense expect ball possession.
It was their third game now without a victory, as they stand now at eight position, having still just two points less than Champions League placed Leverkusen. Hosts should be playing in 4-4-2 formation with Stindl and Raffael as forwards.
Midfielder Denis Zakaria (16/1) is suspended, while injured remain center back Tobias Strobl (no performance so far) and midfielder Laszlo Benes (1/0). Midfielder Patrick Herrmann (11/1), offensive Jonas Hofmann (7/0), defensive Tony Jantschke (4/0) and full back/midfielder Fabian Johnson (9/1) is doubtful for this one.
Hamburger SV, on the other side, comes from a narrow 1:2 defeat in front of own fans last Tuesday evening when the team welcomed Eintracht Frankfurt and even took the lead in nineth minute via Papadopoulos but were unable to hold onto that lead for much longer.
Guests quickly reacted and reverted the scoreline already within next fifteen minutes, thanks to a goal from Wolf in 16th and Gacinovic in 24th minute. It looked like the guests showed their best when it was needed the most, while the rest of the match was spent in domination of Hamburger SV, but the scoreline never changed – they had much more of the ball possession, with some chances too – but it wasn’t their day.
The team now stands at play-out position with fifteen points, just a point less than safely placed Mainz. Guests are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation with Arp most likely as central striker, plus Hahn, Hunt and Kostic and offensive midfielders.
Midfielders Lewis Holtby (7/1) and Sejad Salihovic (4/1) are doubtful for this one, while injured remains offensive midfielder Nicolai Muller (1/1) and center back Bjarne Thoelke (no performance so far). Participation of forward Bobby Wood (12/1) is questionable as well.
Hamburg have failed to win their last 6 away matches (Bundesliga).
Hosts have picked just one point in last three matches and will surely be looking to bounce back with a victory here and well, they couldn’t wish for much better opponent. They are now quite under pressure being out of the European positions and unimpressive visitors shouldn’t be able to keep up with them, knowing their record on the road.

Easy or difficult, Gladbach should prevail in this one while we have decent odds mostly thanks to last three results of Gladbach.

16:30 Cska Sofia – Ludogoretc 0-2 (Under 2,5) (1,60) WIN

CSKA’s attack exploded for six goals in Sunday’s 6-0 home win over Beroe, fourth consecutive for Stamen Belchev’s side after those Lokomotiv Plovdiv (1-0/away), Septemvri Sofia (2-0/home) and Bistritsa on Dec. 3 (2-0/away) and eighth in eleven competitive games at Bulgarska Armia Stadium since the beginning of the new season (8-2-1 29/5).The hosts remain one point behind leaders Ludogorets Razgrad in the race for the title and now these two teams will have to decide which of them will keep its chances for a double in the most intriguing quarter-final of the tournament.
In the matter of fact, those six goals against Beroe came quite surprisingly, given the fact that the hosts had certain problems in attack in the previous six games, despite their undoubted potential in Gustavo Culma (m / 17+2), Kevin Mercado (m / 17+1), Tiago Rodrigues (m / 21+8), Henrique (m / 11+0), Kiril Despodov (f / 20+8), Kevin Koubemba (f / 14+5) and the most impressive player in the league Fernando Karanga (f / 19+18).On the other hand, CSKA’s defense remained solid throughtout the entire first half of the season, as the hosts conceded more than one goal only three times in twenty-two competitive games and managed to keep a clean sheet in six of their last eight games at Bulgarska Armia Stadium (6-2-0 19/2).
Dimitar Dimitrov has imposed a slightly different style of play in Ludogorets Razgrad after his appointment for a manager, which is mostly seen in Ludogorets’ defense, as the guests conceded just eight goals seventeen games in the league since Aug. 12 and managed to keep a clean sheet in four of the last five.On the other hand, the guests have certian problems in attack lately, having scored more than two goals just three times in fourteen competitive games over the past two months, as it happened against opponent in obvious crisis like Lokomotiv Plovdiv (3-0/away) and against two of the teams with the lowest potential in the league: a 4-0 home win over Etar on Oct. 23 and a 3-0 win at home against Bistritsa on Nov. 27.
Stoycho Atanasov (d / 4+0) and Aleksandar Georgiev (m / 3+0) will miss this match for the home team, but none of them is a regular starter.Dimitar Dimitrov has a full squad to choose from.
I expect less than three goals in this match between the teams of CSKA Sofia and Ludogorets Razgrad.

20:45 Hibernhaim – Rangers 3+ (Over 2,5) (1,90) WIN

Hibernian comes from actually very positive result, as the side managed to hold Celtic to a 2:2 draw last weekend, even thoug they were defensive minded set and of course, limited a pretty much defensive role during all the ninety minutes.
First halftime was quite a defensive one from both ends, with players of Celtic having more of the ball possession, but without much concrete things done. However, they have opened the second halftime better and took the double lead with goals from Sinclair within four minutes, in 60th and 64th minute.
Once the hosts stood with nothing to lose, they opted for more attacking approach and it payed of to them, managing to score twice within three minutes using the lack of concentration from visitors’ defense – via Ambrose in 76th and Shaw in 79th minute. The side now stands at fourth position with thirty points earned, just three less than second placed Rangers and surely that they want to keep the positive momentum.
Forward Brandon Barker will be fit enough to play here, even though he limped off in a previous game against Celtic. Right back Steven Whitaker (13/1) is doubtful for now, while offensive midfielder Danny Swanson is back in the squad. Right back David Gray (7/0) remains unfit not being ready to play yet.
Rangers comes from a narrow 2:1 victory at home over Ross County last weekend in a game which turned out to be much more difficult than what everyone expected before it started. Visitors were quite threatening in the first halftime and took the lead in tenth minute via Curran, remaining with more and more defensive role as the time progressed.
As the second halftime started, players of Rangers were more concrete and with better fighting spirit, managing to level up the result in 59th minute via Morelos, while they had to wait till 83rd minute to completely revert the scoreline with a goal from Wilson. The team now stands at second position with three consecutive victories in Premiership, but still having five points less than leaders from Celtic.
Talented center back Ross McCrorie (11/1) is doubtful and probably won’t recover on time for this one. Second choice goalkeeper Jak Alnwick (no performance in Premiership) is also doubtful. Midfielder Graham Dorrans (10/5) won’t play due ankle injury, but left back Lee Wallace is back in the squad from a groin injury. Central midfielder Jordan Rossiter (1/0) remains out, while suspended is other central midfielder Ryan Jack (15/0).
Last five matches between these two ended with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals.
There is no doubt that the players of Hibernian will want to continue their good momentum and impress once again after they did well against Celtic. Rangers will probably be looking for a victory, but the home side remains very threatening in every aspect of the game.
It’s something that promises another open and quite attractive game to watch, hopefully ending with more than just couple of goals scored.
